Personality: Before his 'death' Laharl was a firm and almost overpowering Shinigami. He tended to be a commanding person in the presense of other Shinigami, yet almost servant-like to those who are poor and in need of help. He respects life to the fullest and those who look out to do good without abiding by rules. Still, he has a nasty temper and can lose his humanity within a sea of rage if triggered far enough.

- Kaseihauringu (Force of Flames, Howling): An attack that is a simple blast of concentrated raw fire infused with a percent of his spirit energy. This was one of Laharl's original attacks, and he used it many a time when fighting. It is unknown why Takayanagi has this attack, but Masataka's version does more than simply let out a burst of flame.

History: Laharl was one of the four original Shinigami in the pre-forum group. A powerful being that was loyal to those he wished to protect, yet unwise in the ways of the land. He sought to save those he cared for in ways that destroyed him, turning him against Seireitei and people he loved with all his soul. Many a time he was shattered, broken, and destroyed in the eyes of the world, yet he never gave up, always thinking of his treasured ones.

He died at the hands of Aizen, yet not before giving it his all. He was one of the few Shinigami to ever inflict a dangerous blow on the man, almost breaking him in two. Yet, even with all his power he still failed to win. It was widely known that Laharl died that day, and he would never return. It has also been said that Masataka Takayanagi has a connection with him, but it is unknown what.

Zanpakutô Shikai:


- (Shikai Ability: Fire Minipulation: Laharl can control fire in the shape of raw blasts. It can only be used for offensive and in the motions of striking flame. He can summon flame around his sword and then simply slash outwards, sending out waves and waves of pure fire. Unlike a true minipulation elemental Zanpakuto it lacks the power to be controlled in other formations, and thus is pure offensive.

- (Shikai Ability: Water Minipulation: The Inuzaku is attuned with water, and thus can control it in lashing strikes, and in form. Though he does not possess complete control over it, he can walk on water and use it to defend himself. He cannot summon water, only control it if there is a certain amount in the vicinity, unlike fire.

- (Shikai Ability: Psychokinesis: When not using one of the two elements, Laharl holds vast control over telekinesis, allowing him to move things and send out shockwaves alike with his mind. Using this ability depletes his Reiryoku by two points each burst and movement, draining him greatly after awhile.

- Twisted Reiatsu: In Bankai his own energy becomes untamed and vile, almost like a Hollow but with a lethal touch. Its form changes into a black fiery like motion, licking like flames as purple lines spin around the very edges. The very nature of it is dark, horrifying, and terror inducing, sucking the life and colour out of everything it meets. Everything it touches is burnt, as if it was acid, and can even cause small fires from the sheer intensity

- Power Eruption: Laharl can summon a part of his Bankai power and let it explode outwards in an invisible push of force, forcing anything that holds lower reiatsu than him to be shattered or thrown back with raw untamed force. It quite literally rejects everything it meets and then launches it backwards, crushing it in within a powerful unseen grip. Still, it is known that he can only use this two times before he must silence it for a day.

- Sesshou, Makurayami: This attack roughly means Destruction of Life, Total Darkness. Because of the link between the name of his Zanpakuto, it points towards this being one of his more fearsome abilities. That could not be more correct. The black tsunami of energy released upon activation of his ability does not destroy, nor freeze. It eats. It consumes all in a sea of pitch blackness before draining the life of what it consumed. This attack can be compared to a black hole, or a rip in space.

- Skin of Pure Energy: Black energy focused from his Bankai flows over the skin of Laharl and takes any physical blows, be it sword or punch, it does not matter. This "energy skin" is near constant, but harms him in passing (it tears at the skin under the energy, and will show many a wound once it fades) and cuts his speed by half. The skin is useless if the person holds strength or rei higher than his own rei stat

- True Consume: The final and most deadly of all his Zanpakuto skills. It can be compared to the power of a Hollow, eating the life and soul everything it sinks its claws into. This power can be seen in any aspect of his offensive energy abilities, draining the energy and then feeding it into Laharl's own power to heal his own. It can even eat a full being if that being is near death, and its effects can only be resisted if the target is stronger than him, or healthy.
