Personality: Kadai is a mild mannered person, that doesnt really care for the world he lives in, as he considers his mind his true home, spending most of his time daydreaming, even while doing tasks.
Despite that, he sometimes tries hard to fulfill something, thought its not happening that often, unless he is pushed.

He also traps his emotions within himself, making it look as if he doesnt care, but he never really reveals his mind to anybody, even to his friends, as he thinks they would just laugh him off, thus he is not a fan of conversations.

Kadai has got low determination and doesnt believe in himself, when given the chance to avoid doing something difficult, he wont hesitate. He is unreliable, but at times he can surprise. But even if he gets enough determination one day, it can vanish instantly the other day.

Kadai was born in 40th rukongai district. It was an average district, not so bright, nor harsh. Kadai was never bothered to remember the name of that district, now he isnt sure if it even has a name. As he grew up with his parents, he was a playful, happy kid, which always spat what he had on his mind, never holding back what he felt, if it was happiness or anger.

He was growing up without problems, he had food to eat and quite some friends. Long time ago, when he was a youngster, he and his friends wanted to go wandering around rukongai, sightseeing in other districts, as they wanted to see how the noble districts look like, as they never been there yet.

They wandered up to tenth district, however they didnt get further, as some people there recognized them, being from 40th district and forced them out, pretty much just by words and swears they threw at them. Since they were young, they ended up arguing but then they had to run, as the people went angrier and chased them out.

They managed to escape without harm, as the people in tenth district werent really used to physical activities. At least not those, who chased them. However, they got lost. To Kadai, the place they were in resembled a place some where between 20th and 25th district, so the gang decided to let him lead the way. However, that was a mistake. They were already in 50th district, as they lost the track of distance while they ran away and on other hand, the place only resembled a place he once seen, as that wasnt it.

They carried along, as they began to notice the area was a whole lot different. In their home district, there werent such unkept buildings, most of them didnt even have windows on them. As they stopped and started arguing, causing some loud change of opinions. That attracted some men that were gambling nearby. They looked ugly, seemed like drunkards but had swords with them.

The gang was afraid of them and tried to run, however, all of them, besides Kadai, were slaughtered. Kadai wasnt able to escape, but he got saved as the drunkards got angry at each other for a trivial reason. One of them lost their only gambling dice, thus they ended up killing each other. Kadai was in shock, he couldnt believe what happened, that his friends got killed by them, yet couldnt protect them.

That made Kadai loose his confidence, never ending happy expression and saying his mind out loud. Because of those, he lost his friends and then refused to make any. He wanted to get rid of everything, so the event doesnt repeat. From that day one, Kadai was a silent guy, rarely showing off his real thoughts and emotions. He did loose his never ending happy expression, which got replaced by a dull, boring look, which he never changed from then.

As Kadai grew older, he decided to become a shinigami, so he could protect people from drunkards like that, however, he never knew much about shinigami before he entered the academy, and even then, he was still outdated and being fed with odd rumors that the students made up, either from their lack of knowledge, or just to get attention.

In the academy, Kadai was always doing averagely, never standing out and seemed as an outsider. No one really payed attention to him, as he never done anything interesting, and being a loner. As the time passed, he also passed the academy, as always, with average grades. That didnt bother him though.

A few days later from his graduation, he got assigned to fifth squad and as he heard the news, he informed his parents about it. They were a bit happy for him, but honestly, they didnt want their son to be a shinigami, but they gave their trust to him, that he doesnt go dieing on them. And thus, Kadai headed to the 5th squad barracks.
