Personality: Masataka is a calm and mature Shinigami with a vast mind and bright eyes. He tends to underestimate his power and craves to become stronger. He despises betrayal, yet cannot resist delving into forbidden arts. His mind switches between normal and insanity whenever he gets angry, and tends to try and minipulate his enemy with words alone. He tries to take the Leader role when needed but admits that he isn't cut out for it.

Talents: Masataka is very smart, and is know as The Alchemist for this reason. He relies mostly on his brains and thus is a very dangerous enemy when needed to be. Surprisingly, he isn't Japanese, and thus does not care for their customs. Where he was truly brought to being is unknown, and most think he is either American or German, which are both in fact false

Abilities: Moka is faster and stronger than the avarage Shinigami and most Humans. She also possess an assortment of medical and powerful items that Masataka created in a pouch. She mostly stays by his side and reacts if he is need of healing or help in combat.

Techniques -

- Hakka Soudou Sho (Eight Triagrams Double Palm Thrust): Masataka charges a fissure of Reiryoku through his palms and slams them both into the oponents chest and stomach. This should knock them back and leave them feeling slighty dizzy.

- Takayanagi Goushin-Ryu: Fokkusutorotto (Takayanagi-Style: Fox-Trot): Masataka charges Reiryoku into his feet in a certain motion and begins stepping. The sound of the foot steps are so loud that its almost painful. A good move for surprising.

History -
Masataka passed the Academy with high grades at everything except melee combat. He earned many rivals of the mind as he passed into the 12th Squad, yet also earned a slight fame for his smarts. Many a time people wonder if Masataka can actually fight as its rare to see him in combat.

Still, there is no doubting his growing genius as the days pass by. From his work in either Squad Twelve's Lab or his home, he has continued to advance in creating items such as Gigai and other Shinigami needed things. After the events of Takayama, Seireitei, and a Betraya, Masataka vanished from Seireitei and was pronounced as a deserter of Soul Society. His rank was stripped from him and he was banished from ever entering the land of the Shinigami

The events of Betrayer, Karakura and Arrancar gave show to the abilities of his newly gained Hollow powers after creating an item of great power. The Hollow powers he possesses seems to be under control for the most part, but he seems to be slipping as time passes.

The name 'Laharl' has been burnt into his mind after he defeated Saikah in one on one combat. He was widowed in Betrayer, Karakura and Arrancar and holds scorn for Aizen and anyone that was involved with Ayano's death. His craving of revenge spurns within, hiding behind a cheeky facade which was once real and true.

Still, after service to Seireitei and all within, Masataka was forgiven and has now been allowed to enter back into the realm of the Shinigami. Since his defeat of the Second Espada and his rising protection of Soul Society, Masataka has been gaining word that he would soon be drafted back into a Squad, instead of just being a freelance, but like a certain substitute.

Zanpakutô Name: Byakko (White Fox)



Zanpakutô Release Phrase:
"Hunt, Byakko."

Zanpakutô Shikai: A metal cane that transforms into a katana sword wrapped around a silk strip. Markings charge around the cane and form a power circit. The markings themselves glow every few seconds as a slight flare shoots from around it. Masataka's Zanpakutou spirit is a large twenty foot white fox. Masataka can keep his sword constantly released with a continued flow of spiritual energy when possessing calmed emotions.



- (Shikai Ability: Furukitsune Touben (Old Fox Defence):
The blade grasps his spirit energy and forms it into a shield like wave of energy. It cannot be used to attack, yet is a perfect blocker that would take hours to pierce. Depending upon the strength of the attacker this ability is insanely powerful to complete rubbish. It can reflect energy attacks and melee strikes, yet if the user has enough force behind the attack then the shield might break instantly. This is more of a copy of Urahara Kisuke's blood shield, yet much more weaker. He can summon this power with simply a mutter of "Touben"

- (Shikai Ability: Hauringu Kasei (Howling, Force of Flames):
His blade turns completely white and gives off a glow, in which Masataka can slash outwards and draw upon his spirit energy. A white almost 'firey' slash of energy is sent outwards, sending a shockwave
of pain through everything it touches. This is much like Kurosaki Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho, yet doesn't do the same amount of damage and burns the enemy in a wave of holy 'fire' instead of simply hitting them with raw power.

- (Shikai Ability: Anrui Reppai (Silent Tears, Defeat of the Weaker):
A smoke cloud of dark blue that will completely shut down a person's entire body on command if breathed in. Breath it in, and you're in its hold. Don't, and you are fine. This ability will not effect Masataka as his blood has been combined with a custom made anti-virus. Note: Its power can be fought off if the person has higher Reiryoku than Masataka's, even if breathed in. Depending on the amount of power put into it Masataka can kill a person to simply making them drowsy. He can summon this power with simply a mutter of "Anrui"

Zanpakutô Bankai: Toshikasa Byakko (Elderly White Spirit Fox)





Bankai Special Ability: Masataka's Bankai has several forms. Each of which is formed through a phrase and a control of his spirit energy. His Zanpakuto, is mostly an effect based blade. Byakko minipulates three planes of power with its tails. Raw power, poison, flame. In appearance a giant aura of a huge hellish white nine tailed fox flows up around him, much like Zaraki's golden aura of complete chaos. When Masataka's power reaches its very peak the blade transforms into a crimson broadsword, much like the colour of the Zanpakuto spirit's eyes.

- Bakushou (Roar of Laughter): Passive Attack. Blankets the entire area in a mist that cannot be seen through. This mist does not allow certain sound waves to pass. The Mist itself rapidly weakens the body of whom it touches until it shuts down. Much like the Silent Tears ability of his Shikai, yet more advanced and doesn't need to be breathed in. Once you are caught in the mist, there is seemingly no way to escape from its paralyzation. This is Toshikasa Byakko's main ability, and thus rapidly drains him. Masataka seems to hold the only cure, yet what the cure is exactly is unknown. Can ignore the fatal effects if stronger in Rei than Masataka.

- Reishou (Scornful Laughter): Offensive Attack. The blade shatters and forms into a formation of white wind/fire that Masataka can control with his mind, allowing it to move where ever he wishes. The white fire is insanely fast, but holds only a lesser version of the Hauringu Kasei's powers. It is like nature's wrath, and can burn anything it touches like a true flame. It may look like a wind in essence, yet it cannon blow like the true element.



- Shirogitsune Touben (Albino Fox Defence): Defensive Attack. The advanced version of his Shikai ability. Forms a huge static and seemingly impenetrable barrier sphere of spirit energy for as long as Masataka can hold it. The shield reflects any long range blasts right back, and absorbs any melee based attacks. It's nearlly impossible to hurt him while it's up, but he is also a sitting duck in many words, as he can neither attack nor move while holding it up.



- Senkei, Blade of Fury: Masataka's Zanpakuto gains a sleeker edge as a intense heat builds up. Flames lick the blade as a vortex of fire overtakes the metal and silently continues to burn around it. The air shivers as the heart of the blade becomes a home to the strongest of fires. Masataka can wield the sword without risk, but the flames will burn anything it comes in contact with. He gained this ability through bursts of anger, and was recently told by his Zanpakuto that said anger could become a weapon forged through will and training. Thus this ability was born.

- Byakko, Yatsuzaki: The final ability of his Bankai. Masataka becomes wrapped in an energy like skin which takes the horror filled form of a three-tailed fox like beast. This form allows Masataka to use most of his abilities faster and easier than in his normal state. It is more a battle form than anything and gives him more a tool to fight easier in large fights. This state has a time limit of three minutes, and thus Masataka only uses it when he really has to. It is truly unknown what this state 'does' exactly, and Masataka has yet to tell.

Vizard Abilities-


- Kaseihauringu (Force of Flames, Howling): The reverse version of the Hauringu Kasei. His blade turns completely black and gives off a dark sinister glow, thus Masataka can then slash outwards and draw upon the spirit energy of the vile Hollow within. A black and scarlet wave of energy is sent outwards, burning through everything it touches and making everything it passess nothing but broken scrap.

- Cero (Hollow Flash/Zero): Masataka holds up his hand and gathers the power of the Hollow within before drawing it into a ball of power, which spins roughly into a vortex on his palm. Finally Masataka throws out said power, sending a huge blast of raw crimson outwards to the enemy, destroying everything that gets in its way.

- Mask Shielding: Like all Vizards, Masataka has this ability. Bodily harm can seemingly be ignored while wearing the mask, but pain is still felt. An arm cannot be broken or cut off for example, but a slash will still send a shock of pain through said body.

- Power Augmentation: As with all Vizards, Masataka is gifted with the power of a Inner Hollow within him, thus allowing him to boost his speed, strength, and reiryoku whenever he has the mask on his face. Masataka, because of his current power level, can hold his mask for three minutes for being overcome by his Inner Hollow, or shattering his mask.
