The Lost Guardians

Dee nodded again in agreement with Julie, not being able to speak once again because of the intense power she felt. Did other people's power always feel like this? It was as if she was being crushed and suffocated.

Needless to say, the girl was petrified.

Two palms slapped into Zoe and Julie, instantly knocking them from their bodies as a certain dark skinned Shinigami gave a grin, looking down at them with crossed arms. She was rather disappointed to see that they couldn't yet draw out their forms, but she could tell that the hidden power in their blades would soon awaken. Dee's was already forming, that she knew, simply because the girl was no longer blind to the raw nature of spirit pressure.

It would only take one more push for three of them.

Zoe squealed when she felt herself leaving her body for the second time ever. Looking down, she took in the shihakusho and bright obi in amazement. It was still slightly unbelievable that she was a shinigami, however untrained.

"Well, it's about fucking time!!!"

Calm down. You won't be able to accomplish anything if you panic. Accept your fear and use it to aide you. It is a part of you.

It was that voice again. Dee took its advice, and eventually she was able to move and think properly again. The power didn't seem so crushing or suffacating any more. The girl looked around; no one else seemed to have noticed the voice. Why only her?

She then noticed Zoe and Julie were shinigami and grinned. They were probably a lot stronger than her, so she felt a bit relieved. But at the same time, she grew more worried for Leon. What if they accidently purified him?

...She was just going to have to trust them.

Dee focused her attention back onto Leon as best she could. The girl was still really dizzy from the headbutt and blood loss. It was certainly true that head wounds bleed way more than other places.

Trust.

She trusted them.

And for some reason, with that thought, she felt a small surge of power inside of her.

"Gah!" Julie cried as she stumbled from the palm forcing herself out of her body. She saw her body and began to panic. "OMG, IM DEAD!" she said...before sweatdropping as she saw herself adorn in Shinigami robes. "Ehh...never mind ^^;" Clearing her throat and drawing out her sword (clumsingly, i might add), she glared down at Leon. "Now, uh...We better hope our powers release themselves soon or we're fucked." she said to her 'now shinigami' friend. "Whatever we do, we can't just slash down at his maskl...that could purify him."

Zoe drew her own zanpakuto, a little more confident that Julie.

"Well, we need to learn the names of our Zanpakuto first, but for some strange reason, that doesn't ever happen until you're like almost dead... Then the zanpakuto finally decides to help you out," she grumbled.

Looking over at Leon, she just shrugged at her asian friend and mused, "Maybe we could just stab him in the balls or something so we don't kill him..."

Julie sweatdropped at Zoe's last statement. "Lets...not do that...After all, I don't think you'll get that chance again after you kicked himi there, Zoe." She said, laughing sheepishly.

"Well," Zoe said, tightening her grip on the hilt of her zanpakuto, "It doesn't really matter anyways. All we need to do is wake up our zanpakutos. Just don't die."

With that, she leaped towards Leon, katana raised over her head, poised to strike.

"He's going to..."

"Yup."

The beast roared in the distance and suddenly began to twitch rapidly, throwing back his head. Amber eyes flashed and he seemingly let the girl stab straight into his skin with a roar of pain, pure red Human blood dripping over the blade and a single grey hand keeping it stuck in. The maw of the fox-like beast suddenly came close, a deep red glow taking form.

He was going to fire a Cero at point-blank.

Zoe's eyes widened in surprise and fear.

"Oh Fuck..."

"Whoa whoa whoa! Not cool!" Julie cried as she ran to her friend and her hollowfied crazed friend. "Zoe, let of your sword and get out of the way!" she shouted as she slashed down at Leon, trying to distract him from releasing his Cero.

Whatever Julie was shouting, Zoe couldn't hear it in her frenzy to tug her katana loose. She knew she aught to let the blade go and haul ass, but something in her wouldn't allow her to release it.

"Come on, you bastard!" she growled, kicking hollow-Leon in the chest. "Let the fuck go!!"


God, stupid sword! Now would be a really good time to tell me your name!!"

Dee also ran over to Zoe and attempted to help her pull the sword out of Leon's body. Key word being attempted. She had never really been that strong...

Making sure to avoid Julie's blade, she looked at Zoe. "Maybe we should forget the sword for a second and not get blasted?"

"Okay, you can stop now," grinned Urahara as he tipped his hat. He studied the three girls and then nodded to himself, giving the Hollow a wave of his fan. The first had been completed, if only barely. The struggling Hollow seemed to growl and then nod, a deep beastly sigh echoing.

Silence.

A single shiver cut straight through grey skin, two amber eyes gleaming with guilt and fatigue. The Cero faded and the grip on Zoe's sword loosened, harsh breathing booming through the battle field. The beast Leon had become took a step backwards and then fell to its knees, a distorted voice echoing behind the mask

"Well thank fuck for that!"

The fox-like mask shattered in an instant, the transformation slowly dying down. His body loss a large amount of muscle mass, and the animal traits vanished within a flicker of dark light. Yet, he didn't seem the same as before. His eyes were slightly harsher, and the pupils were now slits, much like that of a beast. Leon was panting like a dog, holding the wound on his chest with a grimace

"Phase 1 - Complete!" winked Urahara behind his fan.

"L-leon!!!" Julie cried as he rushed over to her wounded hollow friend. She then tuned and glared daggers right through Urahara's head. "Oi! You have us fight for our lies and all you do is wave off your fan like its nothing with a SMILE?! You're more fucked up than Aizen!"

Zoe whirled around and pointed her katana at Kisuke's head.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM, DUDE?! YOU'VE GOT SERIOUS DAMAGE!!!"

Turning back to Leon, she sheathed her zanpakuto and covered her face with her hands, moaning, "Leon, I am sooooo sorry!!! Just....well, don't try to fucking kill us again or I'll cut your jingleberries off!"

The brunette resisted the urge to collapse to the ground in relief. No one had died...well, yet anyway. Leon still had a big hole in his chest. She walked over to him and kneeled down.

"Um, I'd ask if you were okay but you're probably not." Dee said, frowning. "Sorry that we hurt you. I don't really know much about first aid, but I know your supposed to apply pressure to a wound to slow the blood flow..."

The girl didn't even bother to look at Urahara or Yoruichi.

"Just..don't hit me in the balls again, okay..?"

Leon stood up and then shook off the pain that came with the moment. He grinned at Dee's words and then simply shook his head, knowing a certain someone indeed would take care of it "Don't worry about it, as I'm not Human any more, am I? Either way, I'll get them to sort it out..."

He looked at his hands and then blinked, finally gazing over at Urahara with narrowed eyes before speaking "So, can I leave now? I believe you're finished with me now, right?" He got a single nod and smile in return, causing the Hollow to turn and dash back into the shop. The dark skinned woman by the entrance grinned and followed, leaving the four alone.

"Now, I believe it is time we begin...PHASE 2!" announced Urahara as he drew up his cane, and then revealed a sword...

Zoe threw her hands up in frustration and sat down on the ground, arms crossed.

"FUCK THAT!"

Julie chuckled at Zoe's rage, then her laughter died as she saw Urahara's sword. "W-Wait....don't you tell me...." she aid shakingly as she pointed at him.

"....we have to fight you, don't we...."

Her face grew paler than she originally was, her eye twitching. "U-uhhh....c=can we get something to eat? I'm starving!"

"Fuck food!" Zoe grumbled before standing up with a growl. Unsheathing her zanpakuto, she held it out in front of her, directed toward the perverted bastard of a shop owner. "Let's just fucking get this over with..."

For some reason, Dee didn't really bother freaking out this time. But she did ask a question. "Can I go change now?"

She still wouldn't look at Urahara.
